Sauer Team in Tampa receives Sunshine State Safety Recognition Award
At Sauer Inc, safety is not just a word it is a culture that is embedded in our business. Safety doesn’t just happen- it takes training, coaching, passion and commitment.We believe that safety is the responsibility of each and every person, from our President/CEO to the tradesperson working on our jobsite.
Enhanced training programs, frequent site visits from top management, including safety audits help identify and mitigate issues which could result in worker injuries. Additional training in identified problem areas raises the level of awareness and enhances the safe work practices of our workers. This in turn allows them to return home to their families each and every day, our ultimate reward.

Recent awards include:
U.S. Navy: Sauer recently received two safety awards in the Spring of 2010 from the Navy in the Mid-Atlantic region. The “Safety Excellence” certificates were presented by NAVFAC MIDLANT in Norfolk and Naval District Washington in DC. - Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, “Celebrate Safety” Award for second Quarter 2009 for sustained superior performance in construction safety on the Patrick Air Force Base Child Development Center project
- Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District “Celebrate Safety” Award during first quarter 2009 for the best safety program in the district
- Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District “Serious About Safety” Award for the 2nd and 4th Quarters 2008 for a distinguished safety program on the $25 million Training Barracks Improvement project
- Naval Facilities Engineering Command’s 2008 Safety Contractor of the Year for Patuxent River Naval Air Station for unrivaled safe job performance on numerous projects
- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District – Sustained Superior Safety Performance during 1st quarter of 2009, large contractor category, Ft. Bragg, NC.
- NAVFAC ROICC New Orleans, LA - Certificate of Award for Outstanding Jobsite Safety Performance on LAANG Roof Repairs, Hangar 5, Buildings 195 and 295, New Orleans, LA, First Quarter 2007
- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District - Certificate of Achievement for Sustained Superior Safety Performance for the SOF Kennedy Hall Renovation, First and Third Quarter of 2007
